Cytotechnologist Job Description (12 Week Contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our clinical laboratory team in a Hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining and analyzing cellular samples to identify abnormalities, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in all analyses.
Duties
- Perform microscopic examinations of cytological specimens, including fine needle aspirations and body fluids.
- Utilize various laboratory techniques such as immunoassays, PCR, and ELISA for sample analysis.
- Conduct blood sampling procedures as required for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of findings and ensure proper data management within the laboratory system.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to clinical trials.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory management protocols and safety regulations.
- Participate in quality control measures to maintain the integrity of laboratory results.
Skills
- 2 Most recent years as a CYTOTECHNOLOGIST
- Strong background in clinical laboratory practices and cytopathology.
- Excellent data management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- ASCP Certification is ideal
