The pay for a Personal Lines Insurance Consultant is $45,000 - $80,000 / year
Our Compensation package includes a competitive base salary monthly uncapped commissions renewal commissions monthly bonus incentives
What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Personal Insurance Consultant to support our San Diego County Credit Union membership.
- Make outbound calls to follow up on referrals and make phone calls necessary to obtain information.
- Obtains relevant information based on prospects' needs. Input data into an agency quoting software program to obtain a variety of price quotes.
- Evaluate quote results to determine the best product recommendations to service prospect’s needs. Advise and consult with prospects about available products and services, pricing, coverage, and suitability for prospect’s needs. Close the sale with payment if applicable.
- Walks the prospect through the completion of an insurance application and obtains required supporting documents to bind insurance.
- Upon completion and submission of the application and documents by the prospect, performs a final review of all supporting documents and the insurance application to ensure completeness and accuracy, then submits to the selected insurance carrier and turns the completed application packet into the agency’s New Business Unit for credit.

Key Attributes:
- Property & Casualty license
- High school or equivalent
- Effective and precise telephone etiquette
- 3 years of experience with Property & Casualty insurance products (particularly Personal Lines, such as auto and homeowners insurance) or any combination of experience and education that would demonstrate preparedness to effectively perform the duties of the position
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
- Precise verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deliver a tailored, white-glove experience to all clients
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with Applied Systems platforms, such as TAM and Epic, or AMS360
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1 year(s) of relevant sales experience
