Job Description:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Procedure Scheduler to join our team in a Gastroenterology Clinic in Eureka, CA. As a Procedure Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating various medical procedures, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. You will work closely with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure timely scheduling and preparation for procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule medical procedures and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Confirm patient details, procedure requirements, and insurance information.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to ensure proper scheduling and preparation.
- Manage patient communication, including appointment reminders and rescheduling.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and pre-procedure instructions are provided to patients.
- Coordinate with other departments and clinics as necessary to meet patient needs.
- Assist with the management of procedure-related supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in the scheduling system.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a Patient Services Specialist (PSS) or similar administrative role. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be able to work Monday – Friday, with no weekend requirements.
- Float Requirement: Candidate may be required to float between nearby clinics in Eureka.
Special Requirements:
- This is an on-site position, not virtual.
- GI (Gastroenterology) experience is not required.
