Machine Shop Operator

Pay rate : $21.21 / hr

2ND Shift : Monday-Friday 4 : 30 PM - 1 AM

Any mandatory overtime would be added to the end of the shift and there could also be every other Saturday scheduled (5 hours)

Perform production work on a variety of machines including NC / CNC machines loading and unloading parts and basic inspection to ensure the quality of the parts. Will not be responsible for setting up or programming the machines. Will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to the Machine Shop Operator #2 classification.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure the quality of produced parts.
  • Follow all safety protocols for machine operation and guarding.
  • Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Reading and writing skills to follow work orders and prepare reports.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
  • Manual dexterity for proper equipment operation.

  • 200 after 3 months
