Title : Maintenance Worker
Pay : $20-$21 / hour
Hours : 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday
Location : Happy Valley, OR 97086
Overview :
We are hiring Maintenance Workers to join our team at Lincoln Memorial Park. This position involves performing general maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep to ensure the site remains well-maintained and functional. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and operating heavy machinery.
Job Responsibilities :
Cut grass, maintain lawns, and trim around trees, walkways, and memorial markers.
Clear debris, maintain drives and walkways, and remove snow as needed.
Erect tents and canopies, arrange chairs for graveside ceremonies, and assist with interments, entombments, and inurnments.
Set up chapels for services and prepare crypts for entombments.
Install and maintain grave markers, bronze memorials, and crypt faces.
Perform general maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Clean and maintain facilities, including minor repairs and painting.
Operate backhoes (under supervision) to dig graves without damaging surrounding areas.
Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company guidelines.
Minimum Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Skills & Abilities :
Proficient in operating tools and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers).
Knowledge of measuring devices (tape measures, yardsticks).
Ability to :
Walk and stand for extended periods.
Lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
Push and pull up to 300 lbs.
Work in extreme weather conditions.
Communicate effectively with teams and client families.
Adapt to changing schedules and multitask.
