Job Description
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer supports manufacturing in the Emergency Care - Home and Public (EC-HP) business. This role ensures that products meet business and customer expectations by providing leadership in the manufacturing area. The engineer is accountable for quality decisions and holds others to the same standard.
Working in the medical industry offers both fulfillment and unique challenges. As part of a HealthTech-focused company, this role involves managing relationships with regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Key Responsibilities
Manage Non-Conformance (NC) events, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with Supplier Quality on incoming, outgoing, and work-in-progress (WIP) inspections.
Partner with Receiving Inspection teams for final goods (FG) release.
Lead design transfer activities.
Resolve quality non-conformities with cross-functional teams.
Drive Quality Management System (QMS) improvements.
Oversee material review board (MRB) activities for non-conformance disposition.
Analyze defects and determine appropriate disposition.
Monitor and improve operations performance.
Support or lead continuous improvement programs in the factory.
Assist Supplier Quality with investigations and communications.
Lead change management for process changes.
Required Skills
Strong background in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Ability to analyze defects and resolve technical issues.
Experience managing regulatory compliance and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor s degree in engineering, science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience (medical device or regulated industry preferred).
Wide-ranging experience in an engineering function.

This role is critical to business and revenue. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for handling NCs, CAPAs, and sustaining manufacturing quality activities. A delay in hiring could result in compliance issues and impact the AED product line.
