Intact’s Global Specialty Lines business spans across more than 20 verticals in four distinct markets: U.S., Canada, UK and Europe. The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing Director to join our Marketing and Communication team in our Boston, MA; Canton, MA; New York City, NY office on a hybrid schedule. This position is responsible for strategy, planning and directing brand awareness and business marketing programs and initiatives. Accountable for managing the execution and associated results. Some of the Marketing Director responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees both the brand and business marketing strategy to drive awareness and consideration.
  • Plans, develops and executes marketing strategies designed to drive consideration and conversion, retain accounts and generate premiums consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Leads disciplined agency management process. Maximizes results through superior planning, testing and execution. Monitors results and facilitates recommendations or improvements as needed with the agency, internal team and appropriate business units.
  • Develops annual strategy and action plan. Directs the key initiatives, optimizes resources, delivers on action plan and drives continuous improvement.
  • Contributes to the company’s producer management/business development efforts through targeted marketing and communications efforts including product launches, services rollouts.
  • Supports a customer-driven culture by assessing the impact of communications initiatives and resources on the desired customer experiences, with a particular focus on digital assets.
  • Manages strategic and effective relationships with our business leaders, being accountable for developing plans, marketing activities, events, design, all aligned to and support growth and outperformance.
  • Point marketing contact for all business and corporate leaders. Establishes strong relationships, works collaboratively to ensure delivery of the marketing initiatives and accountable for outcomes.
  • Oversees and is responsible for the management of all external channels: website, landing pages, social media, events platform, direct email, etc.
  • Ensures that insightful analytics are the basis of informed recommendations regarding brand and marketing strategies including on platforms (websites, email marketing campaigns, social media, blogs, etc.), event marketing and other campaigns.
  • Anticipates and identifies marketplace trends and competitors’ activities and develops marketing strategies to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Oversees people leaders, assess individual and team development needs. Facilitates training, provides coaching and stretch opportunities to elevate performance.
  • Creates and manages department budget. Directs the effective use of budget and resources.
  • Monitors, reports and provides insights on key performance indicators, performance of marketing and brand initiatives and channels.
  • May have responsibility for regulatory related items and dealings with Executives.

The expertise you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10 years of industry experience. with 5 years of management experience, specifically in the property-casualty marketing and communications fields
  • Independent agency experience desirable, CPCU or CIC designation

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $210,000 – $246,000, based on the factors aforementioned. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
