Scope of Role
Intact Software is an ERP software powerhouse with sky-high growth aspirations based in the UK, Ireland, and the USA. We are actively engaged in designing and developing the next generation of cloud services to empower our perfect-fit ERP and business management solutions.
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based ERP solutions. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, and product teams to enhance system performance, automate operational tasks, and improve observability across our infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
· Design & Maintain Scalable Infrastructure
· Build and maintain resilient, cloud-based architectures that support our ERP solutions.
· Automate Everything – Develop automation scripts using Python, Unix shell, and PowerShell to optimise deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
· Improve System Observability – Implement best practices for logging, monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning to identify and resolve issues proactively.
· Containerisation & Orchestration – Manage containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and other orchestration tools to streamline deployments.
· Incident Response & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and network-related incidents, preventing potential failures before they impact users.
· Collaborate on Reliability & Security – Work closely with development teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and security into the software development lifecycle.
· On-Call & Continuous Improvement – Participate in on-call rotations and proactively seek ways to reduce operational toil and enhance system resilience.
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Computer Science or related major.
· 3 years of experience managing cloud technologies and services, with a strong emphasis on AWS.
· Expertise in managing enterprise system environments, including package installations, automation, and system administration.
· Proficiency in Python, Unix shell scripting, and PowerShell (experience with additional programming languages is a plus). Knowledge of design patterns and coding principles is necessary.
· Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and IP networking, including routing, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
· Familiarity with Elastisearch.
· Familiarity with SRE principles, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
· A problem-solver who can think across all layers of the OSI technology stack, designing robust, scalable solutions. A proactive learner with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies, environments, and challenges.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is office-based in Dundalk, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week once you become self-sufficient in your role.
