The experienced DevOps Engineer will lead our hybrid infrastructure operations, covering both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.). This role will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and delivery of automation, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. As a leader, this role will mentor and manage a team of DevOps engineers, set best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Drive collaboration between development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage resource allocation, performance, and professional development of the DevOps team.
- Hybrid Environment Management:
- Oversee and manage the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of hybrid infrastructure across on-premise data centers and cloud environments.
- Develop strategies for optimizing on-premise systems, cloud migration, and hybrid infrastructure scalability.
- Ensure the smooth integration and operation of both cloud-based and on-premise systems with a focus on reliability and security.
- Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing and efficient code deployments.
- Lead efforts in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automating the provisioning of environments.
- Promote a culture of automation and self-service by developing scripts, tools, and systems that eliminate manual intervention.
- Monitoring, Security & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for the entire hybrid infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and swift incident response.
- Implement and oversee security best practices, ensuring compliance with security policies, standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001), and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Work closely with InfoSec teams to maintain infrastructure security and lead remediation efforts during security audits or incidents.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with software development, IT operations, and security teams to drive projects from planning to execution.
- Provide technical guidance to business stakeholders and work closely with architecture teams to align DevOps processes with overall technical strategies.
- Ensure DevOps processes are well-documented, scalable, and continuously improved based on industry best practices.
- Cost Optimization & Vendor Management:
- Manage cloud infrastructure costs and optimize usage to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Liaise with cloud service providers, hardware vendors, and other third-party partners to ensure service levels are met and infrastructure performance is optimized.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or system administration.
- 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in managing hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud infrastructure).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and on-premise virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, ISO27001).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of modern observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, New Relic)
