The individual works closely with relevant teams to ensure the business operates within a legal and ethical framework. They also conduct audits, investigate compliance issues, and ensure corrective actions are taken where necessary.

What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate existing internal controls, policies, and procedures for regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including to integrate compliance requirements into operations.
- Perform risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance risks within the company’s operations, supply chains, and third-party partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address new compliance challenges.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior leadership, highlighting any compliance issues, improvements, or risks.
- Assist in diligence of acquisition targets and review of company’s plans to set-up operations in new geographies to evaluate compliance risks.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably with experience at a technology or cloud software company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex compliance concepts to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing legal and compliance challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with the following:
- U.S. (OFAC - Office of Foreign Assets Controls) and EU Economic and Export Restrictions.
- Technology export licensing requirements (US Dept of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security).
- U.S. and foreign privacy law, including EU/UK GDPR
- Insider trading policies.
