What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Operator position at Intechrity, Inc.?
Medical device manufacturer in Irvine, California is seeking an injection molding operator to perform all duties related to the setup and ongoing operation of Silicone injection molding equipment. Qualified candidate is responsible for implementing and maintaining equipment operations with a complete understanding of the manufacturing process.
Objectives:
- Establish, implement and maintain procedures and objectives for new equipment setup
- Perform complete mold/press setup and develop or input the process parameters
- Responsible for insuring all equipment is maintained with minimal down-time
- Follow documented work instructions for various tasks and maintain records
- Perform equipment startups and shutdowns following written procedures
- Dimensional and visual inspections of products. Record data and determine how to make the appropriate adjustments to correct quality defects, if any
- Ensure proper use of all personal protective equipment and follow established safety rules
- Collaborate with Director of Operations and RAQA to support equipment installation and set-up, as well as new product launches, from initial sampling, throughout IQ, OQ and PQ qualifications, and until the project is successfully released to production
- Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines, and labor
- Ensure completion of daily clean-up assignments and maintain good housekeeping
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of injection molding process, including auxiliary equipment
- Familiarity with raw materials and their processing characteristics
- Medical device manufacturing required
- 3-5 years’ experience with Silicone injection molding equipment and process
- Requires good verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent employment history and attendance record required
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English
