Annual Salary Range: $60 to $70 per hour

INTECON, LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Examiner to support internal control testing, evaluations, and compliance verification aligned with DHS financial oversight responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The roles shall include:
- Conduct testing and evaluations of internal controls in accordance with OMB A-123 and GAO Green Book standards.
- Analyze supporting documentation for control effectiveness and compliance.
- Identify root causes of deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across DHS components to ensure proper documentation and timely responses.
- Provide regular updates and ensure alignment of internal control activities with DHS mission.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
Experience:
Minimum of 6-8 years of subject matter expertise in federal internal control or compliance testing.
Preferred Certifications and Training:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Proficiency in:
- Internal control evaluation methods (A-123, GAO standards)
- Documentation, testing, and deficiency tracking
- Control matrix development and audit response support
Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
