Pay –$26/hr. DOE
NOTE: 8:30am-5:30pm (M-F)
Job Summary of the Import eCommerce Entry Writer position
Integr8staff seeks a motivated Import eCommerce Entry Writer. This role is with a highly regarded and ambitious to grow company CTPAT certified and permitted to clear customs within the 50 states.
Responsibilities of the Import eCommerce Entry Writer position
Audit commercial documents, applying Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code from the customer account HTS database for accurate duty assessment and ensuring all federal requirements are met.
Prepare and execute customs entries, ensuring timely clearance and efficient follow up.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each customer on the correct method and data requirements for customs clearance.
Track and trace shipments and coordinate with steamship lines, freight forwarders and CFS on the availability of imported shipment.
Follow up/coordinate customs examinations until completed and cargo pick up.
Invoice customers for duty and entry charges.
Provide updates to U.S. Customs and customers.
Arrange for freight delivery of shipments.
Respond to daily emails and incoming calls.
Adhere to a high level of operational excellence with respect to on-time performance, accuracy, and customer service.
Requirements of the Import eCommerce Entry Writer position
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customs brokerage field as an entry writer.
Prior experience with T86/ ecommerce is preferred
Familiar with Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
Ability to classify commodities is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of incoterms (terms of delivery, international terms of sale) of the business.
Excellent organizational and communication skills and able to prioritize and multi-task
Knowledge of the supply chain process and how it works with customs
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with appropriate follow-up.
Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Self-motivated and directed.
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when problems arise
Bilingual English/ Cantonese or Mandarin preferred
