Job Title – Sanitation Supervisor

On-site, Full Time, Temporary
Pay – Up to $37/hr. DOE
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM (ability to work weekends) – schedule might vary.
Job Summary of the Sanitation Supervisor position
Integr8staff seeks a reliable Sanitation Supervisor with food and beverage industry experience.
Responsibilities of the Sanitation Supervisor position
Oversee daily operations of the Sanitation Department.
Supervise, train, and develop a team of unionized sanitation employees.
Ensure chemical inventory is accurate and that sanitation supplies are adequately stocked.
Understand the sanitation program, efficiency targets, and methods to improve overall performance in the department.
Comply with, enforce, and promote all company policies and standards.
Assist in performing regular housekeeping audits.
Develop Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA, and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.
Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
Develop and implement new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performance.
Maintain all pertinent records, reports, and other required documentation in collaboration with production and maintenance teams to meet plant objectives.
Consistently monitor pH levels throughout the cleaning process and troubleshoot when pH levels fall outside specified limits.
Understand the chemical dilution process and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all facility safety regulations and chemical safety standards.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements of the Sanitation Supervisor position
High School Diploma/GED required.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field, Food Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in sanitation and/or quality assurance within a food/beverage plant environment required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
Strong team building skills and the ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Prior supervisory experience in a unionized environment is desirable.
Knowledge of and experience with HACCP, FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations, as well as food safety concepts and principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
The majority of the job function is performed in a manufacturing setting requiring safety precautions.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking and lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
