Job Summary
INTEGRA Biosciences Corporation is an industry leader of innovative liquid handling products for the medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries. The Production Technician will support extrusion operation by working in the production area that consists of extruding, forming, welding, printing and packaging machines and also the ability to cross train in the molding area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow operating procedures to confidently run all production equipment.
- Must be able to understand and interpret verbal instructions working with engineering direction.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and safety checks on machines.
- Maintain time and production records accurately.
- Startup and shutdown equipment.
- Perform changeovers for each machine.
- Handle WIP material, scrap, and load machines.
- Load recipes from machine memory and / or written process sheets.
- Set up and operate auxiliary equipment as required for production.
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot production issues.
- Communicate with extrusion engineers and production managers for daily tasks and updates.
- Able to assist extrusion engineers with various tasks.
- Recommend measures to improve department methods, performance and quality.
- Responsible for keeping the work area, machines, and tooling inventory clean and organized.
- Responsible to complete other duties as assigned.
