Description :
INTEGRA Biosciences Corporation is an industry leader in innovative liquid handling products for the medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries. The R&D Engineer will be part of the production development team who will significantly contribute in the mechanical / industrial development and sustainment of products with a focus on handheld devices and consumables.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support continuous improvement of existing product designs.
- Develop conceptual ideas through sketches, CAD modeling, and rapid prototyping.
- Create detailed and verified designs using CAD models, prototypes, and extensive testing.
- Conduct pilot builds and product testing to validate designs.
- Assist / lead activities for production manufacturing transfer.
- Support production manufacturing from initial launch through full product life cycle.
- Initiate process requirements such as inspections, work instructions, fixture requirements, and training.
- Communicate development progress to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Research and implement new product technologies.
- Collaborate with outside development vendors as needed.
