Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our vascular care team. This individual will play a critical role in bridging communication between patients and providers, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in both field and surgical center settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key liaison between physicians, patients, and facility staff
Perform patient triage and prepare individuals for vascular procedures
Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
Accurately document all clinical encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments as needed
Track and manage care plans and treatment follow-ups
Maintain medical equipment and manage clinical supply inventory
Travel to various sites, including partner surgical centers and care facilities
Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor or management team
Required Qualifications:
Active Certified Medical Assistant credential
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is a plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong proficiency with computer systems; EMR and PACS experience preferred
Professional demeanor and a commitment to ongoing development
Must not be listed on the OIG exclusion list
