We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Designer – Structural - to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural design and a passion for using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create detailed, accurate 3D models of structural systems. The BIM Designer will collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other disciplines to integrate and coordinate structural designs within the broader building model. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BIM software, a solid understanding of structural systems, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Create, manage, and update 3D BIM models for structural systems (e.g., steel framing, concrete, etc.) using Inventor/SolidWorks software.
• Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and other design disciplines to ensure the structural design is fully integrated into the overall building model.
• Use BIM tools to perform clash detection, identify design conflicts, and work with other disciplines to resolve issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Produce structural drawings, details, and schedules directly from the BIM models, ensuring they meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that models and drawings are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project standards.
• Develop and maintain structural DWG templates, part family libraries, and modeling standards to optimize workflow and ensure design consistency.
