Audio Visual Technician

We are a leading Audio-Visual Integrator in San Antonio, TX looking for the right candidate to join our growing company as an AV Service Technician. AV is a fast-paced industry with unlimited growth potential. This position will complete technical installations of audio/visual systems (including all projectors), calibration of audio-video systems, and implementation (or programming) of control systems. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot and EQ effectively.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

·      Regularly inspect and maintain audio and visual equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

·      Identify and resolve technical issues with audio and visual equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.

·      Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and replacing components.

·      Document equipment issues and repairs for future reference.

Technical Skills:

·      Strong understanding of audio and visual systems and equipment.

·      Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing audio and visual equipment.

·      Experience with a variety of audio and visual equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, sound systems, cameras, and other related equipment.

·      Knowledge of electrical wiring and safety procedures.

·      Additional items as required:

• Provide effective communication by supplying daily updates to project managers
• Perform quality control checks on finished products/projects
• Fabricate racks in-house or onsite at the client location
• Rig/mount of equipment and displays
• Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating, and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, and audio cables
• Installation of all AV equipment including audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, and all presentation systems

Requirements

• Ability to work shifts as needed including day, evening, or weekends
• Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation
• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Possible out-of-town projects requiring hotel/multiple overnight trips
• Signing out and securing inventory and non-inventory consumables per project
• Restocking and inventorying van equipment/consumables daily
• Ensuring a clean and tidy project site; assisting technicians during installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines of Company and client requirements
• Other related duties as assigned
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment screenings

Physical Demands

·      Sitting, standing, stooping, and bending for extended periods

·      Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and to handle other office equipment

·      Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)

·      Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or be transported by lifts

·      Ability to drive/operate a vehicle and be insurable
