We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to join our team that will be responsible for leading the administration of company benefits and ensuring the company is compliant with all regulations and laws. This position will also play an important role with general human resource projects and tasks, as well as maintaining positive employee relations. This position will work out of Integral Blue’s corporate office in Auburn Hills, MI with occasional remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of the company group benefit offerings including health care and ancillary benefits.
- Ensures all benefit enrollments and changes made in the online benefits portal are processed accurately and timely.
- Coordinates with employees to ensure all Qualifying Life Event (QLE) steps are completed timely.
- Assists employees with benefit claim issues and plan changes.
- Handles timely distribution of all required benefit notices.
- Completes assigned responsibilities for the annual group open enrollment process.
- Handles assigned benefit statement reconciliation tasks and resolves billing discrepancies.
- Maintains effective communication with broker team and carrier representatives to ensure company expectations are defined and met.
- Develops and maintains company wellness program communications and activities.
- Completes assigned responsibilities relating to the company sponsored retirement plan.
- Performs QA/QC checks on benefits-related data.
- Researches and analyzes market trends and updates for benefits, wellness and other general Human Resource topics and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Ensures regulatory reporting compliance related to group benefits.
- Administers FMLA, Paid Sick Leave and ADA laws and employer responsibilities accurately.
- Processes and administers leave of absence requests and related disability paperwork.
- Responds to benefits questions on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general human resource inquiries accurately and timely.
- Assists with the development and revision of policies and procedures.
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into the appropriate project or task work flow.
- Prepares reports of data and explains findings.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Assists with day-to-day general HR tasks.
- Makes recommendations and actively participates in efforts to improve the organizational culture including attracting and hiring qualified candidates, motivating and training employees, addressing personnel concerns, and maintaining legal compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- At least three years of benefit administration experience.
- Experience with maintaining a successful wellness program.
Qualifications Desired
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (BEBS)
- Master’s degree in related field

- Occasional travel to Integral Blue’s secondary and client offices.
Supervision and Oversight
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a mentor and leader to others as a member of the human resource department.
