We are seeking a Field Operations Manager, with direct reports, will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of field professionals, inventory control, and fleet/equipment management, ensuring the efficient execution of projects and alignment with organizational goals. This role will lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to optimize resource allocation, minimize costs, and improve operational performance. The manager will focus on team leadership, providing guidance, training, and fostering a collaborative work environment while ensuring that field staff maintains technical competencies essential for successful project delivery. Additionally, the Field Operations Manager will drive continuous process improvements, oversee budgeting and cost control efforts, and coordinate with other departments to support organizational objectives.
The position will report directly to the Vice President of Maintenance Services and Operations. This position will work out of Integral Blue’s Auburn Hills, Michigan office.

Key Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of field staff, inventory control, and fleet/equipment management, ensuring alignment with organization goals. Collaborate closely with Field Supervision to unify field and office staff, fostering high morale, productivity, and efficient, high-quality work performed safely. Provide guidance to warehouse staff to maintain accurate inventory levels and optimal resource allocation for project teams.
- Safety: Actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives, select policy and procedure development and enforcement, select training & development and compliance, and safety goals. Lead field and warehouse efforts to identify and address all safety issues. Foster a culture of safety, leading by example and keeping safety as the number one priority.
- Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, using insights to inform decisions and drive enhanced department performance.
- Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities to support efficient resource management.
- Team Leadership, Development, and Engagement: Lead, support, and engage field and warehouse teams by fostering a collaborative work environment, implementing training programs, and developing technical competencies. Promote employee engagement and team-building initiatives to enhance morale and drive project success.
- Process Optimization: Optimize field scheduling, inventory control, and fleet management by refining processes, implementing strategic initiatives, and leveraging technology such as ERP systems. Enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
- Conflict Resolution: Proactively identify and address conflicts within the team or with cross-functional partners, fostering a solutions-oriented and constructive work culture.
- Inventory and Fleet Management: Oversee strategies for inventory control, consumable management, and fleet operations to ensure optimal resource availability, cost efficiency, and adherence to organizational and safety standards. Participate in physical inventory counts as needed, supervise the process, and reconcile any discrepancies by determining and implementing corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to align operations with company goals and maintain effective communication across teams.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into operational strategies.
Qualifications Required
- Eduction and Experience: Must have a Hight School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate, with a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in leading, communicating with, and organizing teams in field operations, inventory management, and fleet and equipment.
- Leadership and Team Development: Must have proven leadership abilities with a successful track record in managing teams, developig team members, driving performance, and fostering a positive, safety-first culture. Must be able to lead by example and inspire accountability, reliabiilty, and high-quality work standards.
- Comminication and Interpersonal Skills: Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and alignment on goals and expectations.
- Organizational and Analytical Skills: Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to shift priorities effectively. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive operational improvements.
- Operational and Technical Knowledge: Must have experience in field operations management or a related supervisory role in infrastructure installation, integration, or maintenance, with the ability to oversee and support complex, large-scale field projects while ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations. Must also understand inventory management principles, best practices, as well as fleet and heavy equipment management, including maintenance, performing tracking, and operational readiness.
- Financial Acumen: Must understand financial and budgeting processes and principles, with experience managing budgets effectively.
- Performance Management and Reporting: Must have experience in performance management, including setting expectations, evaluating team performance, and addressing performance gaps. Must also be proficient in generating reports and analyzing operational data.
- Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and be able to use these tools to communicate effectively and manage operations.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey information and ensure effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications Desired
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is desired.
- Experience with successful implementation of inventory management technoloy solutions.
- Experience with fleet/equipment acquisition, upfitting, maintenance, and disposnal.
- Experience interpreting data and applying insights to optimize field operations across large geographical areas (state-wide).
- Experience with fleet management and telematics software such as eFleets and GeoTab.
Supervision and Oversight
- Supervise field, inventory, fleet and equipment team members including Field Supervision, Inventory Control Specialist, and Fleet and Equipment Coordinator.
- Oversee and direct activities of field, inventory, fleet and equipment related tasks assigned to your direct reports.
- Review timesheets for staff, approve/deny PTO requests, and update PTO calendar.
- Perform or facilitate training for employees.
- Develop and manage the day-to-day performance and career development of direct reports.
- Communicate regularly with direct reports to provide timely feedback, resolve issues, and foster engagement.
- Conduct performance reviews according to company requirements.

Travel Requirements
- Regular travel to and from Integral Blue's Corporate Office in Auburn Hills, MI.
- Routine travel to perform field visits, conduct one-on-one meetings, and perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) assessments.
- Travel to field sites will generally involve multiple visits each month to different field locations, with potential for occasional overnight stays.
- Possible out-of-state travel.
