Job Summary: Integral Care's Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT) serves individuals in psychiatric crisis. Travis County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Austin Police Department (APD), and Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), as well as other law enforcement agencies can request EMCOT through the 911 call center for real-time co-response for psychiatric crises. EMCOT connects individuals to treatment appropriate for psychiatric crises, diverting them from emergency rooms and jails. This improves health outcomes and ensures first responders can return to what they do best- responding to medical emergencies and public safety issues.

EMCOT also receives referrals from Central Booking Counseling Staff and Travis County Correctional Complex (TCCC) to connect individuals post-release to services in order to prevent future engagement with the criminal justice system.

The position:

• This position serves as the jail liaison with individuals currently at Travis County Correctional Complex (TCCC) and/or Central Booking.
• The EMCOT jail liaison works in collaboration with jail counseling staff at TCCC and/or Central Booking to provide crisis screenings and assessments to individuals that are up for release in order to assist with re-entry to mental health services and/or crisis stabilization.
• Assist with jail diversions at Central Booking, prior to the individual being booked.
• Additional duties:

While not working in the jail setting, the clinician will support clinical operations of the unit, including providing community-based crisis assessments, interventions, and brief follow-up.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Flexible, detail oriented, a team player, effective communication skills, calm under pressure, and a growth mindset.
• Previous crisis assessment experience is strongly preferred.

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Education:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Hours: work days: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM, 9:00AM - 5:00PM or four 10hour shifts

Salary: $26.73 - $28.87 per hour.

Position is eligible for differential pay.

• Second Shift: $3.25
• Third Shift: $4.25
• Weekend Shift: $5.00
