We are seeking multiple skilled and innovative Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles, with a specific focus on UAS/UAV engineering. The Senior Engineer/Scientist V will provide high-level technical and scientific expertise in support of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), focusing on technical data management, training systems development, and advanced engineering solutions. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in science or engineering to lead efforts in the design, development, evaluation, and sustainment of UAS systems and their associated frameworks. The Senior Engineer/Scientist V will work closely with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of tasks aligned with UAS lifecycle requirements. This role is essential for driving the development of advanced technologies and solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in the field.
You must be a U.S Citizen and have a Secret Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Training, Training Devices, and Test Support:
- Training Strategy Support: Assist in the development and implementation of cohesive strategies to train Warfighters to operate and maintain UAS throughout the lifecycle.
- Training Devices Acquisition: Support the development of documentation to acquire Training Aides Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) and ensure their sustainment at the lowest total ownership cost.
- Courseware Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of UAS operator and maintainer courseware, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and Virtual Immersive Environment materials.
- Training Validation: Provide analysis and recommendations for training materials, corrective action plans, and readiness requirements to ensure effective training delivery.
- Test Support: Assist in providing recommendations for Government acceptance testing, fielding, and New Equipment Training (NET) for TADSS.
Engineering Services:
- Technical and Engineering Support: Provide engineering services for the design, development, evaluation, analysis, documentation, production, and sustainment of UAS systems, including associated supporting systems.
- Cybersecurity and Information Assurance: Support engineering efforts to ensure UAS systems meet cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.
- Aircraft Survivability: Assist in engineering efforts to enhance aircraft survivability and system safety.
- Mission Systems Architecture: Contribute to the development and sustainment of mission systems architecture to ensure modular, scalable, and interoperable solutions.
Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of task-related experience gained after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience with UAS systems, training systems, and lifecycle management is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies related to system design, cybersecurity, mission systems architecture, and training systems development.
- DOD 8570.01-M IAT II
- Knowledge with Training Aides Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS)
- Analyzing and assessing impacts to training and training support.
