Warehouse Lead/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Warehouse Lead to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced production environment. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of a warehouse attached to a busy production facility and manage the shipping, receiving, and inventory of our products to ensure efficient processes and timely delivery of goods. They will collaborate with managers and communicate scheduling, training, and staffing needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and effective inventory management to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee warehouse logistics
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Move products to designated areas within the warehouse or distribution center.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Assist in inventory control processes, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Communicate with managers, supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a similar role within a warehouse, distribution center, or production facility.
• Proficiency in logistics, supply chain, and distribution processes
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and logistics operations.
• Excellent materials handling skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience in team management is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
