What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Chemist position at Integral Staffing?

QC Chemist

Successful pharmaceutical manufacturer is in need of a qualified QC Chemist to handle the following responsibilities :

Performs routine analysis on samples submitted for testing on time and accurately.
Perform wet chemistry analyses such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) & Gas Chromatography (GC) on pharmaceuticals in a Quality Control lab.
Performs basic maintenance / calibration / troubleshooting on instruments.
Documents results in accordance with cGMP and as laid out in company's SOPs.
Informs supervisor of deviations in results from established specifications.
Adherence to policies / procedures (SOPs, cGMPs, safety protocols).
Any other functions are required by Quality Control Unit.

Hours : M - F, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Requirements :

Minimum BS in a scientific discipline.

3 years experience in a laboratory environment with experience in HPLC, GC, and raw material wet chemistry techniques.

Basic communication, mathematics, and computer skills.

Works well in a team environment.

Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face / half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed.

Basic knowledge of chemistry and / or biochemistry.

Basic wet chemistry techniques.

Ability to write documents, reports, SOPs, protocols and provide training.

Salary : $30 - $35
