About the role:
As a Director at Integral, you'll partner with our clients to shape and deliver strategic employee and executive communication approaches that drive organizational success through transformational experiences. We meet our clients where they are in their journey, whether they're just starting out or advancing mature programs. Working closely with senior client stakeholders and collaborating with a team of professionals, you'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution to create meaningful impact for our diverse client portfolio including brands like PepsiCo, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Johnson & Johnson, Macy’s, Citizens Financial, Amazon Web Services and IBM.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop comprehensive employee communications strategies that align with clients' business objectives and cultural aspirations, adapting our approach to each client's unique reality
- Lead strategic planning workshops and discovery sessions with C-suite and senior stakeholders, practicing compassionate curiosity to truly understand their challenges
- Translate complex business challenges into actionable communication plans that drive measurable outcomes and excellent results
Client Partnership & Growth
- Serve as trusted advisor and day-to-day lead for key client relationships, demonstrating authentic interest in understanding their business context and organizational dynamics
- Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing accounts while maintaining focus on client success
- Collaborate with Integral’s leadership team on agency growth initiatives and new business development, staying agile as market needs evolve
Content Strategy & Creation
- Guide development of multi-channel content strategies that bring corporate narratives to life authentically
- Review and elevate team's content output across formats including executive communications, change communications, and engagement campaigns
- Ensure consistency of voice, messaging and strategic alignment across deliverables while adapting to each client's unique culture
Innovation & Digital Evolution
- Stay at the forefront of emerging communication technologies, AI tools, and digital workplace solutions, embracing continuous learning and growth
- Evaluate and recommend new platforms and approaches to enhance client communications effectiveness
- Champion the integration of innovative tools and methodologies while ensuring practical application and value for each client's specific needs
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop junior team members with genuine care and curiosity about their growth journey
- Foster a culture of creativity, excellence and continuous improvement through authentic feedback and support
- Lead by example in building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality work while maintaining work-life integration
Project & Account Management
- Oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards and adapting to changing circumstances
- Manage account P&L and resource planning to ensure profitable delivery while meeting client needs
- Establish project scope, timelines and success metrics aligned with client realities

The Details
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in internal/employee communications
- Understanding of change management principles and employee engagement drivers
- Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship
- Location: Hybrid (NYC-based)
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package including:
- Compensation $110,000 - 130,000 base, 15% bonus opportunity, immediately-vested Profit-Sharing/Employee Equity Equivalent
