Summary/Objective:
As a BCaBA at IABS, you will be responsible for assessing clients with developmental disabilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and supervising the implementation of ABA therapy. You will work closely with Behavior Technicians and families to ensure high-quality service delivery. The position requires the ability to conduct functional and behavioral assessments, design and implement behavior support plans, and provide ongoing training and supervision. You will maintain a billable caseload of service hours and receive regular supervision by a BCBA in accordance with BACB standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional and behavioral assessments for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Develop individualized goals, objectives, and behavior support plans based on assessment data.
- Ensure behavioral data is collected regularly, analyzed, and used for ongoing evaluation of treatment plans.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Behavior Technicians in the implementation of individualized treatment plans (ITPs).
- Provide family training and support as outlined in the ITP.
- Maintain accurate client records, including documentation from intake to discharge.
- Attend and coordinate meetings with community providers as needed.
- Deliver ongoing training and professional development for staff and families.
- Maintain a weekly billable caseload of service hours.
Qualifications:
- BCaBA certification (Required)
- Virginia LBA (Required)
- Experience with implementing functional behavior assessments and verbal behavior assessments.
- Knowledge of ABA principles and practices, including general behavioral assessment and ethical standards.
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans and curricula.
- Experience supervising and training staff and technicians.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and display data-based progress.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and goals for yourself and others.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the behavioral impact of developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
