Job Overview
Integrated Behavioral Health Management is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate billing and coding processes, which are essential for the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures to effectively manage patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. It will help if the Biller has experience in healthcare management and Payroll processing.

Duties

• Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems.
• Process medical billing claims and ensure timely submission to insurance companies.
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
• Handle medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain organized medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements.
• Manage and coordinate services for the program.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG is required.
• Experience in medical billing, collections, and managing medical records is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding principles.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
