The Role and Responsibilities
Integrated Biometrics seeks to add a Senior Product Test Engineer to join our rapidly growing product development team. This US-based on-site position will lead and manage product test planning for new and existing products, including test creation, test execution and reporting of results for IB's various fingerprint scanner products (contact and contactless) and Software Development Kit (SDK) which is supported on various operating systems, programming languages and host devices. The successful applicant will work quickly, accurately and with a customer focus always in a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization.
The Senior Product Test Engineer is a value-driven, intuitive testing team member that can use their software and hardware knowledge / skills to plan, execute and report testing results on IB's SDK with our various scanner products. This position's main purpose is to lead testing development activities with each new SDK release, major hardware design changes to existing scanners, and each new product introduced. Testing will be performed on various IB scanner hardware and host operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and Android. Automation of test cases is the preferred method, but manual testing is also performed as needed.
Responsibilities include :
- Lead product test activities to support new product development, SDK releases and Samples provided by IB to our customers.
- Responsible for reporting product testing results on our sample applications provided in the SDK using all various fingerprint scanners.
- Develop and manage current automation test cases on our provided API's and help create new test cases when in between SDK release projects.
- Develop and provide input to testing plans, testing strategies and approach, automation platforms to improve IB's ability to provide good test coverage while keeping to aggressive schedules and cost constraints.
- Provide support to our Support Organization on some reported SW issues related to our SDK.
- Develop and maintain a searchable repository of all test plans, test data and test reports
- Develop and maintain and update existing automated scripts; also design and develop automation frameworks and automated testing on new projects from initial tools or technology
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to create physical automation tests, including unit testing and cycle testing.
