Integrated Breeders is seeking a motivated and skilled Bull Collection Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Bull Collection Technician, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver high-quality bovine semen for artificial insemination and genetic improvement programs. This position offers the opportunity to work and contribute to advancements in the cattle breeding industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bull semen collection using industry-standard techniques.
- Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of bulls in the collection program.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of donor animals for semen production.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to collections.
- Follow strict protocols to ensure the quality and safety of collected semen.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.
- Adhere to biosecurity and safety guidelines to prevent disease transmission.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in animal science or related field preferred.
- Experience in semen collection and handling is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of bovine reproductive anatomy and physiology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
