What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Support Engineer position at Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS)?
Role Details:
This role requires demonstrated troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities and an ability to have an exceptional customer focus, be detail-oriented and innately curious. Excellent communication skills are a must to drive alignment across different teams. The ability to be proactive in identifying opportunities to prevent problems while also converting previous lessons learned to future improvements is preferred.
The role will require travel to support our products at more than one customer site/location.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of technical support experience for software teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- On the software side, skill sets preferred and sought will include the ability to work with scripting languages (Python, Bash, shell), containers (Docker / Kubernetes) and programming skills like Java / C a bonus
- On the hardware front, experience specifically with vision systems (sensors, lighting, lenses, etc.) and computer servers deployed on premise are good skills to have.
- Tier 1 support experience and being on the front line is a requirement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning, computer vision, or related technologies like video streaming and processing technologies.
- Experience with hardware qualification and testing processes.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Understanding of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, Websockets)
