What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Mohs Assistant position at Integrated Dermatology of New Jersey?
Busy dermatology practice in East Brunswick, NJ is searching for a reliable long term Medical Assistant/MOHS Assistant to perform clinical duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant/MOHS Assistant will assist in surgeries and basic examinations, maintain patient records and explain common medical procedures to patients.
Job Description
- Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
- Preparing MOHS paperwork and instruments, assisting during procedures, bandaging, suture removal, educating patients on wound care.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Qualifications
- High level of professionalism
- Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems
- Excellent computer and phone skills
Job Type:
- Full time, Mohs 2-4 times per months, surgeries 2-3 times per week
- Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.

Experience:
- Experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital at least 2 years
- Dermatology experience
- Experience in surgeries and MOHS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications/Licenses:
Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
