Job Description
Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience!
We are looking for a friendly, motivated, team player who is willing and able to travel to both office locations (Waterbury and Southbury).
Duties:
- Room patients, triage, obtain/document medical history and chief complaints in EMR
- Document allergies and medications and obtain informed consent from patients
- Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures
- Assist in skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures and cosmetic procedures
- Prescription management
- Patient call backs with pathology results/schedule excisions
- Prior Authorizations and Biologics
- Clean and restock exam rooms/assist with inventory
- Sterilize Instruments
- Assist with any administrative duties such as answering the phone, patient questions and scheduling
Qualifications:
- 1 year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
- EMR experience (Required)
- Dermatology experience (Preferred)
- Mohs experience a
Job Type:
- Full-time, Monday- Friday (7:30- 4:30)
- Must be able to work in Waterbury and Southbury locations
Experience:
- 1 Year Medical Assistant
- Dermatology experience preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma
Certifications/Licenses:
- Medical Assistant Certification
Pay:
Pay starts at $20.00 per hour and increases based on experience
