About This Role
This position is part of the Engineering Technology Sustainment group located globally and will be onsite. As part of one global team, you will have the opportunity to lead transformational efforts to refine and establish design for quality and six sigma manufacturing capabilities programs and build a team with the skills needed to accomplish objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead transformational efforts to refine and establish design for quality and six sigma manufacturing capabilities programs.
- Identify and lead process characterization efforts related to methods, cycles, protocols, and scripts for equipment used in production to establish process capability KPIs.
- Champion improvement efforts to close gaps in process capability where discovered.
- Partner and align with global operations regarding project priorities, KPI's, team structure, and business processes to best serve IDT global operations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop associates through career action planning to accelerate career growth and engagement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a high-tech or biotech company required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a technical team (scientists or engineers) required.
- Advanced knowledge and extensive experience implementing six sigma and design for quality methodologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in genomics, chemical/biological reagent manufacturing, or related field.
- Extensive experience with statistical data analysis and analysis tools strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree in scientific or engineering field preferred.
