The role supports the execution of wet lab bench experiments and data analysis for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and quantitative PCR (qPCR) component reagent development as well as sustainment activities within the R&D team. You will have opportunities to learn how to apply your scientific knowledge and NGS technologies to address specific scientific questions and to develop commercial products by working with a dynamic and highly skilled team.
In this role, you will:
- Perform wet bench experiments, data analysis and reporting, formulate conclusions with minimum to moderate oversight, identify key issues, and work with others to solve problems using critical thinking skills
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports for internal use
- Interact with and assist other members of the VAV team or other internal departments as needed to meet research objectives
- Present information at group meetings
- Lead or participate in the maintenance of laboratory and equipment
