Cost Savings/VAVE Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Identify cost savings opportunities and participate in business continuity risk reduction
• Lead VAVE projects, including developing test plans, overseeing testing, prioritizing, engineering document changes, and coordinating sample builds
• Evaluate components, materials, and processes for value improvement opportunities
• Participate in and lead idea workshops and brainstorm sessions with cross-functional teams to generate cost reduction ideas
• Continually evaluate and promote designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements and value
  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
• Required 3 years related experience in the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology and value analysis tools and methods
• Experience with analytical and CAD software; Solid Edge and Teamcenter
• Hands-on involvement in development engineering, concept, prototyping, and testing
  
  

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Must have mode of transportation to attend meetings between buildings
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lbs. occasionally
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with industrial and laboratory safety standards (UL and CE marking)
• Experience with industrial automation platforms
• Sourcing, Supply chain, logistics, and project management background
