This position is part of the Therapeutic Development (Manufacturing Development) department located in Coralville, IA and will be an onsite position. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the development of platforms (programs) for long single guide ribonucleic acids (sgRNA)
• Execute proof-of-concept experiments to optimize oligonucleotide manufacturing processes prior to GMP campaign operations.
• Familiarize yourself with the operations and minor maintenance on the OP-100, Oligosynthesizer, AKTA-150M Pure, Load and Lock columns.
• Work under the mentorship of senior chemists in manufacturing oligonucleotide activities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in scientific related field or relevant experience required.
• Minimum 0-2 years of work experience in scientific field or biotech industry preferred.
• Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing processes and synthesis methods preferred.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Familiarization with standard oligonucleotide instrumentation.
• Experience with upstream (Synthesis, Cleavage/Deprotection) and downstream (Purification, Ultrafiltration-Diafiltration, Lyophilization) experiments for oligonucleotide manufacturing at umole and mmole scale.
• The ability to analyze and interpret QC and experimental data.
