Integrated Environmental Solutions, LLC (IES), a small woman-owned business located in McKinney, Texas, is currently seeking a mid-level project manager with focus in waters of the United states. IES was established in 2003 and is currently celebrating 21 successful years. IES is an EEO employer with a diverse staff. This is a full-time, in-office position with primarily local travel in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. IES was formed to provide specific project / program environmental support in an efficient, effective manner. IES accomplishes this by understanding and mastering the interrelationship between compliance with environmental laws / regulations and the specific engineering demands and constraints of a given project. This focus makes IES responsive and cost-competitive in the marketplace.

IES is seeking a full-time, innovative, self-starting, client-oriented Biologist III that is capable of working in a team environment with 5 to 10 years of project management activities. This position is primarily in office providing technical advice for up to 10 Biologist I and II positions. Additionally, this position will provide coordination with clientele, prepare proposals, prepare permits, and coordinate with regulatory agencies. Field work will be required on a limited basis to assist teams, meet clients and regulatory agencies, conduct training, and on technical projects.

Typical projects that this candidate may be involved with include, but are not limited to :

• Waters of the United States, including wetlands, delineations and Section 404, 10, and 408 permits;
• Protected species habitat / community assessments and Section 7 and 10 permits;
• Tree surveys / inventories and tree risk / health assessments;
• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; and
• NEPA-related environmental documentation, as well as general technical writing.

Since this opportunity requires activities in the outdoors, the position requires the ability to function in conditions such as hot and cold temperatures for extended periods, traversing natural habitats with limited physical access, and long-distance hiking daily. These activities provide for a vast array of professional experience in the natural resources consulting field while IES will continually provide focused, on-the-job training as well as opportunities for growth in multiple specializations over time. Required skills and proficiencies typically include the following :

Office hours are frequently flexible with 40 hour work weeks and benefits are generous.

A bachelors degree in an applicable field is required, at minimum. We will accept Ecology, Rangeland Ecology, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Wildlife, Fisheries, and Environmental Studies with heavy field practicum. Proficiency with GPS equipment and ArcGIS is beneficial.
