Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

About the Job:
Inspect, test, and sort processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts and products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. Must possess good communication skills.
Knowledge
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production/ job shop processes and quality control. Knowledge and understanding of using overhead cranes is preferred.
Job Duties (could include any of the following):
- Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, or work for conformance to specifications.
- Finish and touchup grinding of part components as needed.
- Record inspection or test data, such as straightness and mearsurement accuracy
- Mark items with details, such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Read blueprints, data, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, or measuring instruments required.
- Notify supervisors or other personnel of quality and non-conformance problems.
- Work with department leaders to address corrective actions, based on inspection results.
- Position products, components, or parts for testing, further processing, shipping, or packaging.
