The Mobile Crisis Management Consulting Licensed Professional (LCSW) is responsible for providing all support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated crisis response, crisis stabilization, interventions, and crisis prevention activities. This Mobile Crisis Management Consulting Licensed Professional (LCSW) will provide immediate evaluation, triage, and access to acute mental health, developmental disabilities, and / or substance abuse services, treatment, and supports to effect symptom reduction, harm reduction, and / or to safely transition persons in acute crises to appropriate crisis stabilization and detoxification / supports / services. In addition, the Mobile Crisis Management Consulting Licensed Professional (LCSW) will be responsible for immediate telephonic or telehealth response to assess the crisis and determine risks, mental status, medical stability, and appropriate response. This position is also responsible for providing clinical supervision and consultation with crisis services. In this position, crisis services will be managed and assessed for proper response and follow-up.
Must have the following Knowledge / Skills : Strong knowledge of techniques and practices involved in the care and treatment of emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally impaired persons, Basic knowledge of personnel administration as it relates to the supervision, selection, motivation, and discipline of employees, Skill in communicating orally and through writing with a variety of people to provide or exchange information, coordinate the work of staff with other entities of the agency and with outside agencies, Ability to plan and carry out a program of orientation, Ability to participate in administrative and professional staff meetings to plan programs and improvements related to company's goals and mission, Ability to observe clients' progress in treatment and recommend potential revisions in assessments and crisis plans to professional staff, Strong individual and group counseling skills, Strong assessment skills, Strong community integration skills, Strong family / caregivers training and consultation skills, Strong mentoring and mediation skills, Strong judgment and Excellent problem solving skills; Strong adaptive skill training in all functional domains including vocational, educational, personal care, domestic, social, communication, leisure, problem-solving, etc.; Strong behavioral crisis and modeling intervention skills; Strong motivational interviewing, mentoring and mediation skills; Competency in Wellness Education and Symptom management issues; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Interventions; Extensive knowledge of the dynamics of mobile crisis and other IFS programs and services offered in North Carolina; demonstrated skill in management and networking between agencies and professionals; basic knowledge of billing and business practices related to the provision of mental health services in the state of North Carolina; enthusiasm and energy and Cultural Competence; energy and enthusiasm.
WORK DUTIES AND TASKS
Supervisor and Teaching; Essential Function, 75% of time
- To provide day to day clinical consultation, guidance, direction, resource identification, problem resolution, seeking input and to staff within the mobile crisis management department. Follow-up with Call Center Manager, Regional Director(s) of Crisis Services, Director of Crisis Supervision and Training or Chief Executive Officer when additional consultation is needed.
- Responsible for appropriately assessing individuals who are experiencing mental health, developmental disability, and / or substance use crisis.
- Responsible for identifying appropriate natural supports or community resources to stabilize the individual's crisis.
- Responsible for ensuring the overall safety of the individual served, their families, and the community.
- Responsible for networking with other community agencies to ensure effective care across the service delivery continuum. Will maintain the EHR of the individual served to ensure that appropriate Medicaid and agency standards are met.
- Provides a range of psychotherapeutic services including crisis intervention counseling, and individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, as needed.
- Provides resources assistance to persons served in acquiring assistance through community and state resources.
- Adheres to all federal, state, and local ethical and legal guidelines for licensure and in accordance with program standards.
- To report to the appropriate mobile crisis services supervisor or regional director any clinical or administrative problems that may be identified in an effort of collaborating to resolve the issue.
- To monitor coordination of mobile crisis services and other community services when necessary.
- When necessary, manage day-to-day client-related issues between other agencies and the organization itself.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Clinical Work : Essential Function, 15% of time
Professional Activities : Essential Function, 5% if time
Collaboration with other Providers : Essential Function, 5% of time
SCHEDULE :
Fulltime : 40 hours plus per week. Fulltime Crisis Services workers may also be required to work On-Call hours at least one week or two weekends per month and will be paid at On-Call rates for on-call hours worked. The Crisis Services worker may be required to cover shifts other than their regular assigned work shift if services and extenuating circumstances deem necessary.
Shifts : 1st shift - 7am - 4pm; 2nd shift - 11am - 8pm; 3rd shift - 1pm - 10pm
