GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Mobile Crisis Management Regional Directors will supervise the mobile crisis program of Integrated Family Services, PLLC in five (5) regions (North Central, Northeastern, Central, Southern and Guilford County Regions). The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing crisis service delivery in their assigned region. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and monitoring the quality of clinical services within the region. The Regional Director also builds strong relationships with community stakeholders, raises awareness about MCM services and works closely with local organizational and regulatory standards.
The Guilford County Region will be based out of Greensboro NC.
WORK DUTIES AND TASKS
1. Leadership and Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of Mobile Crisis Teams within the region to ensure effective service delivery and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Mobile Crisis Director to align regional services with broader organizational goals, policies, and best practices.
- Develop and manage regional budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and efficiency in service provision.
2. Staff Supervision and Support
- Supervise Mobile Crisis Services Supervisors to ensure staff meet performance standards and respond effectively to crisis situations.
- Conduct regular supervisory meetings, offering guidance on managing team dynamics, case allocation, and workload distribution.
- Oversee staff onboarding, professional development, and performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator, MCSS and Training Specialist to foster growth and retention.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure all crisis interventions and documentation meet state, federal, and organizational compliance standards.
- Conduct periodic audits and quality assurance reviews, implementing corrective action plans as needed to address any deficiencies.
- Monitor adherence to health and safety standards, including those set by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
4. Strategic Community Collaboration
- Build and maintain partnerships with local agencies, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other community resources to enhance regional crisis response.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and events and educating stakeholders about MCM services.
- Work closely with MCSS to strengthen relationships with regional partners and improve referral and support networks for clients.
5. Service Improvement and Crisis Program Development
- Identify areas for improvement in service delivery, incorporating feedback from individuals served, staff, and stakeholders.
- Initiate and lead service improvement initiatives, developing action plans that enhance crisis response effectiveness and outcomes for individuals served.
- Support data-driven decision-making by reviewing regional service utilization data, call volumes, and client needs to adjust resource allocation and program priorities.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all regional documentation, including reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide regular operational reports to the Mobile Crisis Director, including updates on regional challenges, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Track and monitor service outcomes and key performance indicators, contributing to data collection for organizational reporting and evaluation.
7. Recruitment and Talent Sourcing
- Actively promote job openings for IFS at community events, job fairs, and through partnerships with local educational institutions such as universities, community colleges, and vocational schools.
- Establish relationships with academic programs related to social work, counseling, psychology, and behavioral health to create a pipeline of qualified candidates for MCW and other key roles.
- Use community connections to identify potential talent, including individuals with lived experiences or local professionals who may be a good fit for crisis work.
- Assist in creating recruitment materials that highlight the benefits of working in MCM, the impact on the community, and opportunities for career development within the department.
8. On-Call and Emergency Support
- Participate in the regional on-call rotation, providing after-hours consultation and support for high-risk or complex crisis cases.
- Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators and MCSS to ensure effective crisis intervention and client support during emergencies.
9. Training and Education for Community Stakeholders
· Provide training to community stakeholders on crisis intervention strategies, mental health awareness, and how to work effectively with MCM.
· In partnership with Mobile Crisis Director, develop workshops, presentations, or seminars tailored to the needs of law enforcement (i.e., CIT training), schools, healthcare providers, and other local partners on how to recognize mental health crises and refer to MCM services.
· In addition to training community partners, offer new MCW to observe training and education of community stakeholders.
10. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public health, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role in behavioral health or crisis intervention services.
- Proven experience in overseeing crisis response teams and managing multidisciplinary staff across multiple locations.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance and service quality standards (e.g., CARF, state/federal regulations).
Operational Management Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, budgeting, and reporting.
- Expertise in managing complex caseloads, ensuring appropriate crisis response, and optimizing team workflow.
Supervision & Development
- Ability to guide professional development, provide constructive feedback, and oversee performance evaluations.
Community Relations & Collaboration
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with community stakeholders, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other local agencies.
- Capacity to coordinate community resources, promote MCM services, and foster collaborative partnerships.
Communication & Leadership Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear directives and maintain open communication with staff and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, including conflict resolution, team motivation, and adaptability.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical skills to monitor KPIs, assess operational efficiency, and address service gaps.
- Experience implementing quality assurance measures and conducting program evaluations to ensure service effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Residing within the designated region is strongly preferred to facilitate local engagement and responsiveness to community needs.
General Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year's experience in providing crisis management services in the following setting: assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency department, or other services providing 24/7 response in emergent or urgent situations AND twenty (20) hours of training in appropriate crisis intervention, strategies within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must have 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and MVR check.
- No criminal convictions of child abuse or violent crimes.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to keep strict confidentiality and work with diverse populations.
