Integrated Global Services, Inc. (IGS) is seeking an energetic and responsible Human Resource Intern to join our team for a 10-week in-person internship. This opportunity will be available at our headquarters in Richmond, VA (7600 Whitepine Road, Richmond, VA 23237).

The HR Intern will provide support to the Human Resources department in various functions including recruitment, Intranet Content, Job Description Audits, FLSA Status Reviews and Compliance. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical, offering the intern hands-on experience in the daily operations of HR. Provide administrative support to Office Personnel. Provide general administrative support for Human Resources.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Interns will be expected to work 5 days a week up to 40 hours a week.

Our internships are paid opportunities. School credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Updating intranet content
  • Job description audits
  • FLSA status reviews
  • Analyze engagement surveys for trends, summarize findings, and distribute results.
  • Collect and organize initiatives based on survey results.

  • Contacts :

  • Provide occasional administrative support for Richmond based leadership team, HR and visiting Sr. Leaders when needed
  • Daily contact with Richmond based personnel
  • Decision / Judgment :

  • Independent judgment is used regarding day-to-day processes and procedures
  • Guidance from management is provided for matters involving money, or for issues that will have a broad or company-wide impact
  • Decisions are guided by a general understanding of the company's mission, vision, values, standards of operation and mutually determined strategies and objectives
  • Effort / Working Conditions :

  • Job is performed in a typical office environment, with no unusual physical requirements
  • Some flexibility is required including occasional overtime to meet seasonal or other peak workload demands

  • Education and Experience Required :

  • Related experience of at least 1 year is required
  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
