Salary Range: 21 To 24 (USD) Hourly
The Clerk Storeroom (Supply Tech) working in the Material Management Department will perform the following duties listed below. These are some of the duties that the employee maybe required to complete, although the list is subject to change and is not the only responsibilities of the position. You should be approachable and friendly as you will be working with all the departments within the hospital. Performs a variety of tasks including issuing of supplies and equipment. Maintains the integrity of the materials inventory system.Reviews quantities of patient charge supplies on each nursing unit using hand-held computer. Places orders for those items which are at or near the suggested reorder volume. Consistently performs a count which is 100% accurate. Inventory and restocking are done in a timely manner. Rotates stock before replenishments are made. Maintains stock supplies in an orderly and neat fashion. Re-stock crash cart and specialty carts as neededReports all slow-moving items to the Purchasing Office. As requested, routinely reviews par levels and usage of patient charge supplies & adjustments made as needed. Demonstrates knowledge of all specific department policies & standards. Must have the ability to meet essential functions of job with or without accommodation.Receives, inspects & verifies all deliveries to the warehouse. Accepts or rejects supplies as appropriate. Prints & distributes weekly standard requisition for all departments. Reviews stock requisitions for completeness before being entered into computer system. Fills & delivers requested supplies to each department on a regular pre-established schedule. Informs Purchasing/Materials Manager of any discrepancies. Stores supplies in proper location & rotates stock as required. Delivers all special orders before the end of the day. Overnight parcels are delivered at the time of receipt. Keeps stock shelves dusted and in order. Sweeps floor clean of debris. Work area is free of clutter. After receiving items, checks purchase orders for attached back orders, then issues & stages according to policies. Receives material issued to department. Attaches delivery ticket & stages them for delivery. Required Licensure/Certifications: MAB requiredREQUIREMENTSCurrent Central Service Certification preferred.2 years related experience in a hospital setting preferred.High School Diploma
