Senior Business Process Analyst Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing business processes, documenting flows and descriptions, and recommending best practices on all end-to-end business workstreams that have a direct impact on the Finance Department as well as key management reports.
Senior Business Process Analyst Responsibilities:
Analyze and document business processes within the Finance Department, focusing on end-to-end workflows and key management reports.
Map large, cross-departmental processes using tools such as Lucid or Visio, ensuring accurate and clear process flow documentation.
Recommend process improvements and best practices to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Identify potential risk and control points in business processes, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess and mitigate financial risks across key processes.
Assess existing finance processes to identify any gaps in program requirements and work towards addressing these gaps.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure processes meet business needs and regulatory standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts in finance, risk management, and operations, to understand business requirements and gather feedback.
Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
Provide hands-on support in evaluating finance programs, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Assist in documenting finance program requirements and ensuring accurate reporting standards.
Leverage strong hands-on experience in controls frameworks to assess and improve the operational controls within finance-related processes.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and organizational policies in all business processes and activities.
Apply principles of change management to support process improvements and ensure smooth implementation of new processes or adjustments to existing ones.
Promote continuous improvement within the Finance Department by suggesting process enhancements and optimizing operational efficiency.
Develop and deliver training materials for employees on new or updated processes and procedures.
Maintain clear and concise documentation for all process-related changes and updates, ensuring accessibility and transparency.
Prepare and deliver clear reports summarizing analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex process changes to non-technical stakeholders.
Senior Business Process Analyst Knowledge & Experience:
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS)
5+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of process engineering within Finance or Banking sectors
Highly proficient technical skills with process mapping tools such as Lucid or Visio
Experience with mapping large cross departmental process.
Strong communication skills
Knowledge and application of Change Management principals
Experience with the identification of operational controls
Experience with research of Banking regulations
Salary : $78,000 - $105,000
