We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shipping Associate.
Job Description:
The role of the Shipping Associate is to pack and prepare our products for shipment to our various customers. The Shipping Associate works with the production team to ensure the daily shipping schedule is met.
Responsibilities:
· Pack and prepare products for shipment.
· Verify the content of boxes and pallets against packing slips.
· Coordinate and schedule with various transportation companies.
· Talk to different carriers regarding our shipping needs as they change and inform leadership accordingly.
· Help to maintain shipping materials by checking stock to determine inventory levels.
· Assist with the organization and maintenance of the finished goods inventory.
· Collaborate with the team to meet the daily shipping schedule.
· Accurately kit, issue and follow-up with materials and work orders.
· Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment.
· Perform monthly, weekly, and daily cycle counts.
· Follow First In – First Out material flow protocols.
· Perform general housekeeping and organization of work areas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Previous shipping / inventory experience preferred.
· Basic Math Aptitude – good and accurate arithmetic skills required.
· Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping programs and the preparation of Bills of Lading is preferred.
· The energy to help build a company!
· Effective communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
· A keen attention to detail.
· The ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts preferred.
· Fluency in spoken and written English.
Pay based on experience.
