Responsibilities and Duties
- Assembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. This person will make mechanical and electrical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Starts up and shuts down various types of plant equipment. Inspects, adjusts and repairs all electric brakes including those used on cranes
- Trouble shoots control wiring and electrical systems
- Laying out and bending conduit, pulling wire, and starting up systems
- Performs preventive maintenance as required.
- Observes good housekeeping and safety on the jobsite, electrical rooms and shop
- Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays
- Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: motor controls and electrical panels
- Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscope to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Measure, Cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
- Bend pipe (ridged and EMT)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have 2-4 years of experience
- Electrician’s license preferred but not required
- Must be able to read ladder diagrams & schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Crane experience is a plus
- Must have own tools
- Experience with 230/460 Motor control preferred
- Experience with bending and installing conduit a plus

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Salary : $23 - $28
