What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter and Shop Assistant 3rd shift position at Integrated Machinery Solutions?
We are looking for a Painter Helper to assist the painters with the exterior of structures and other surfaces. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.
Shift : Monday - Friday 10pm - 6:00am -
**Must be able to train on 1st shift**
Responsibilities:
- Perform support duties to assist painters
- Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Apply varnish and other finishes
- Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Skills:
- Proven experience as a painter helper
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
- Conscientious with great attention to detail
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently standing; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Overtime may be required in some instances to meet production & shipping requirements.
