OVERVIEW
This position is a full-time hourly position in the Quality Department and reports to the Quality Control Supervisor. The quality control inspector position conducts origination inspection of, incoming and outgoing parts and supplies used for manufacture of products. In process product assembly, welding, and parts inspection. Position is Monday - Friday, Saturday as needed 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, oscilloscope and vision prior to shipment.
· Generate spreadsheets for data collection
· Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
· Interact with source inspector as needed
· Test incoming raw materials

- Able to learn to use and read micrometers, caliper, and use calibration gauges.
- Able to learn to use and read additional measuring tools.

- Learn how to organize a demanding workload to ensure all products leaving the facility have been properly inspected and are of the highest quality.
· Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma/GED is required
- High mechanical aptitude
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years of experience, minimum, as a machinist, welder, mechanic or quality inspector and/or one of the following:
· Completion of a trade school in a related manufacturing field, preferably machining.
· Experience driving a forklift and operating an overhead crane.
· Experience inspecting cranes, trolleys, hoists, and/or winches is a plus.
