Description:
The Press Brake Operator is primarily responsible for working from drawings, routings and general
instructions to produce sheet metal parts to customer specifications on CNC Press Brake machines.
Requirements:
? Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders to ensure accuracy and consistency.
? Perform secondary operations on fabricated metal parts, such as drilling and tapping, installing
hardware, extruding, tumbling, deburring, softening sharp edges and offering rotations on routers.
? Collaborate with employees, customers and vendors to solve problems and recommend
improvements.
? Program, load tools and conduct general adjustments to manufactured sheet metal components
to print.
? Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.
? Read, interpret and follow shop orders and dispatch reports.
? Utilize understanding of bend allowance to verify precise dimensions and correct radius and bend
angles.
? Perform preventative maintenance on the press brake.
? Uphold and maintain the utmost standards of quality in tasks and processes.
? Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
? Operate forklift and hand truck as needed.
? Report any tooling issues to the Press Brake Lead and/or Metal Fabrication Supervisor.
? Use measurement tools according to instructions to verify customers specifications.
? Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry.
? Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
? Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required.
? Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
