Job description
We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to care for and manage the daily operations of our multiple healthcare holding companies. They will be responsible for compiling, organizing, and maintaining the healthcare business's financial records. Such activities as daily cash posting, managing Accounts Receivables and Payables, journaling, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and monthly analysis of performance. They will support activities keeping the businesses compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, and making payments such as taxes and other expenditures while working in a highly collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
· Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts. Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
· Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditures
· Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting leadership of errors
· Recording any inconsistencies and reconciling inaccuracies
· Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets
· Preparing employee wages
· Managing employee expense claims
· Preparing yearly accounts
· Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Completing Cost and other reporting
· Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the leadership team of errors
· Recording any inconsistencies and reconciling inaccuracies
· Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
· Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting account policy and regulations.
· Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising leadership on needed actions.
· Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Education:
- Preferred Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Experience:
· At least 2 years of experience in Accounting field or in a similar capacity. Proven experience in dealing with Accounts Payables and Receivables.
